My dogs happily go from sleeping on the bed ... to swimming the widest river .. to searching out feather or fur game ... to strutting their stuff in the show ring .. and back home to be lap dogs and loved pets! They have also successfully competed in agility, obedience and field trials.

My involvement with Vizslas began in 1990 and my first one, Spud, came home with me in 1991. A growing dedication to the breed saw me set out to learn as much as I could. This included joining international lists and discussing the breed with people around the world, traveling to different countries to see other dogs, importing semen and starting a national breed newsletter.

My dedication continues with an education campaign to help new people understand the breed and give an idea about breeders responsibilities. This is supported by articles I have written and had published, web pages, a VizslaNZ Yahoo email list and a booklet I have written on the subject (booklet available by email – just email me and ask or visit the dog training link below).

I take huge pride in being there for my puppy people – they do not just get a pup but they get a friend and a mentor as well. It is exciting to see ‘my’ dogs earning their keep with the hunters, enjoying themselves in competition activities, prancing around the show ring and, most importantly, becoming loved and trusted family members for so many people.
